I graduated from University of Aveiro (2003-2007). After getting my Design degree I enrolled in the Design Master program at the same university, and started a research in Education in Virtual Worlds. When I was finishing the first year of my master I enrolled in the HCI Master program (2008). In the summer of 2009 I worked as an Interaction Designer for Vodafone R&D Munich, Germany. During my internship I developed two prototypes for the interface and interaction of the Cloud Space (Cloud Computing), based on user research. After graduating from the MHCI I have joined ZON (a portuguese telecomunication service provider), where I have worked during the year 2010, improving the user experience of the Call Center's front end, internal portals and TV box interface. Since 2011, I work at Deco Proteste (Euroconsumer's member), where I am responsible for the user experience of websites and apps of 5 consumer rights companies (in Lisbon, Madrid, Milan, Brussels and Rio de janeiro).
I am interested in many fields of knowledge, but my Design background makes me appreciate especially what holds an aesthetic value. For aesthetics I mean harmony, beauty and order. My hobbies illustration, listening to music, dancing and practicing capoeira – activities that are all related to design, since “form” here also has to adapt harmonically to different functions. I highly consider the user in everything I produce and therefore I give a great deal of importance to usability and ergonomics. The MHCI contributed to develop my skills and methods to study and design for the user, which I consider fundamental not only to match users needs and expectations, but also to enhance creativity, drawn from insights of the data analyzed. To understand what are the problems, needs and desires of the target users is a powerful tool to design successful products.
