Research projects:

What roles can digitally connected devices play in enhancing children's engagement at museums?

I am a PhD candidate in Digital Media into the program Portugal|UT Austin at University of Porto with M-ITI as a host institution.

I am a University of Madeira graduated holding a BSc degree in Communication, Culture and Organizations and a MSc degree in Cultural Management and I worked in Communication Management in a non-profit organization and in a museum.

Through the Ph.D. in Digital Media I am investigating what are the guidelines for combining digital storytelling and gamification in order to enhance the museum experience for a teenage audience inside Natural History and Science Museums. I believe that digital and interactive content for teenage visitors has immense potential to be uncovered and further developed inside these places of cultural heritage!
